She is quoted as saying about her debut "I became an AV actress because this is not something I can do later in my life". In another interview she says she got into AV work to financially help her boyfriend who was an AV director.
In September 2002, she had a role (credited as 松島楓, Kaede Matsushima) in director Yutaka Ikejima's pink film Delivery Health Girl: The Moisture of Silken Skin which won the 9th Place Best Film award at the 2002 Pink Grand Prix ceremony.
